Pedagogical Awakenings: Exploring Pedagogical Transformations in the Early Years Learning Framework (2022 V2.0) reflective thinking and practice.

Finding and cultivating pedagogical awakenings, or moments of transformation in teaching and learning, offers opportunities to re-imagine quality early childhood education and care. 

Returning to the fundamentals of practice as we explore the new perspectives of the EYLF v2.0 will refocus our intention and reconstruct familiar ways of knowing and being. Through these awakenings, what we know is renewed; the planning cycle becomes responsive curriculum design; concepts inform intentionality; and local walks become encounters on Country or urban ateliers.

This dynamic professional learning opportunity offered at the Exceeding rated Kincoppal Early Learning Centre will include a Friday night soiree of pedagogical awakenings theory,
along with nibbles and drinks, and a Saturday centre visit with Kincoppal Early Learning staff who will share some of their pedagogical awakenings of using conceptual curriculum design.

This dynamic professional learning opportunity with Catharine Hydon and Kerrie O’Neill allows early childhood educators and leaders to explore the practice possibilities of the updated Early Years Learning Framework using a pedagogical awakening approach.
